A true reproduction of the original Arco Lamp by Castiglioni. Functional elegance sums up this fantastic floor lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos The timeless Arco Lamp is a superbly executed work of art/lamp, perfectly encompasses both form and function. Most rooms have the electrical output for a ceiling lamp right in the middle of the ceiling, but most dining tables are not placed in the middle of a room. Castiglioni was unhappy because of the cable going from the output to the position where the pendant lamp is fixed to illuminate the table. For this reason he designed Arco in 1962. The polished Aluminum domed shade is beautifully balanced by a heavy marble base.White Carrara marble base with satin-finish stainless steel shade. Pressed, polished and zapon-varnished aluminum swiveling and height-adjustable reflector. Foot switch on power cord.
